We are not an operator. We don't own storage units, we don't rent boxes, we don't charge visitors.
We're a curated aggregator: we research, verify and organise real operators in the cities where our visitors need to store things. Operators may pay (optionally) to appear featured — visitors always see every available option first.
Editorial independence. Operators can pay to appear featured (Premium listing), but that doesn't hide or downgrade the others — all verified options remain visible. Curation is based on active website, verifiable address and a public size catalogue.
Current coverage: 24 countries, 35 cities. New regions added every sprint, prioritising where visitors request most via concierge.

You come to Stokarea looking for where to store your things — by city, by neighbourhood or by type of need (moving, renovation, e-commerce stock, a collection). We’ve already gathered and organised the real operators in that area so you can compare them in one place.
If you get stuck, the free concierge steps in: tell us the city, the rough volume and how long you need it, and we return options that make sense — no cost, no obligation. We don’t sell units; we just shorten the path to those who do.
An operator only enters the directory if it passes three basic filters: active website, verifiable address and a public size catalogue. That cuts out ghosts, scams and abandoned listings. We don’t list what we can’t confirm actually exists.
We also keep editorial content (blog and tools) to genuinely help the decision — what to check before signing, how much fits in each size, when climate control pays off, insurance, security. We write in our own voice, no clichés, no cookie-cutter formulas.
The site is free because it earns in three ways: affiliate commission when you buy packing supplies via Amazon, third-party advertising, and optional partnerships with operators. None of it costs you extra or buys privileged placement in the curation.
